1. Edit Preferences

1.1. Editing User's Preferences

You can find the preferences dialog box in Edit/Preferences. This window will allow to modify:

  • User password

  • User timezone

  • Display preferences for user, sources and destinations.

  • E-mail address used for NEXThink Alerts.

1.2. Setting display preferences

The Preferences box can change the label for the users, sources and destinations. This label is displayed in the different visualizations of NEXThink Finder and they allow users to identify the object by ID, IP address, login name, etc. The labels for each object are the following ones:

  • ID: Unique User ID given by NEXThink
  • Name: User's login name (if LDAP integration is available)

Sources

  • ID: Unique Source ID provided by NEXThink
  • IP addresses: IP address of the source machine
  • Name: Windows machine name

Destinations

  • ID: Unique Source ID provided by NEXThink
  • IP addresses: IP address of the destination machine
  • Name: Destination machine name (if DNS reverse lookup is available)
