1. Home Tab Services Tooltips
This section describes the possible tooltips for Home Tab Services.
1.1. Standard tooltip
This is the tooltip shown when no exceptional events occurred in the monitored service during the reporting timeframe. The tooltip shows the name of the service (Chrome usage) and the number of sources using it during the reporting timeframe. In this example, all sources reported high network availability between 18:30 and 19:00, meaning that more than 98% of connections were successful.
1.2. Warnings
This tooltip is shown when there is a warning on the Service line, which is indicated by a yellow bar. Warnings indicate situations which are usually caused by issues on the hardware or software of specific computers and generally do not impact the whole infrastructure.
A Service is considered to be in a Warning state whenever at least one of the following situations depicted below occurs:
- at least one source has low network availability: i.e. less than 90% of successful connections;
- at least one source has medium network availability: i.e. more than 90% but less than 98% successful connection;
- at least one source suffered any application crash or not responding event while having network traffic for the specified service.
1.3. Errors
This tooltip is shown when there is an error on the Service line, which is indicated by a red bar. Errors indicate issues potentially located in the server or network infrastructure and likely to be impacting the majority of users. A Service is considered to be in an error state whenever more than 50% of the sources using the service reported low network availability in the specified time period.
Note that in such cases, sources with medium or high network availability or with applications not responding or crashing can still be present.
