Description

With 6 dedicated Nexthink Act remote actions, clean Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 11 files according to the specified parameters, obtain a list of the plugins available and manage their status. Useful for managing browser plugins and troubleshooting browsing-related issues.

Script Clear Chrome settings

Script Description

Clears Chrome files according to the specified parameters. Useful for troubleshooting several browsing-related issues. The script is developed for Windows 10 and 7 and Chrome 65 onwards.

2 BrowsingHistory List of visited websites. Set it to "true" for deletion, "false" otherwise
3 Cache Cached images and sites. Set it to "true" for deletion, "false" otherwise
4 Cookies Cookies saved on the device by websites. Set it to "true" for deletion, "false" otherwise

Further Information

Bookmarks and passwords are not included in the available settings, as they are synchronized when logged-in in Chrome.

Script Set Google Chrome Plugins

Script Description

Sets a list of plugins to be installed or banned by editing Google Chrome Policies. Removing previous policies is also possible. The script is designed for Windows 10 and 7, and Google Chrome 65 onwards.

Parameters

1 CampaignId Campaign Id to invoke when Google Chrome is needed to be closed
2 BannedPlugins Plugin Id, or a comma-separated list of plugin Ids to be banned on the device. Type "" to not change this policy
3 MandatoryPlugins Plugin Id, or a comma-separated list of plugin Ids to be installed on the device. Type "" to not change this policy
4 RemovePreviousPolicies Set if the previous Google Chrome policies have to be removed before applying the new ones stated in the previous parameters. Set it to "true" for deletion, "false" otherwise

Further Information

Manages plugins from all user profiles on the device, even if the profile is not the current loaded one. Plugin Id can be found in the Google Chrome Store file information. A normal user cannot disable plugins that have been installed by Google Chrome Policies. When a plugin is banned, the user cannot install it using the Google Chrome Store.
