Collector Configuration

Description

With three dedicated Nexthink Act remote actions, change Collector configuration parameters by using nxtcfg Collector tool on the devices, test if Collector CrashGuard is active, and reset Collector CrashGuard counter. Useful for remote troubleshooting and maintenance of Collectors on the devices.

Script Reset CrashGuard

Script Description

ADVANCED SCRIPT Resets the Collector CrashGuard count and restarts the Collector driver. The script is designed for Windows 10 and 7.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script manually as local system.

The status of the Collector is checked before resetting the CrashGuard.

Parameters

ID Label Description
1 Tag Optional number to identify the installation [0 - 2147483647]
2 LogMode Logging mode (0 - Silent, 1 - Verbose, 2 - Debug). It might impact performance. Use only for debugging
3 WMDomains List of domains for which to report the URL of web requests (comma-separated)
4 IOPS Enable (1) or disable (0) IOPS monitoring beta functionality (do not enable if this is unknown to you)
5 PKGInterval Period, in hours, in which the Collector checks for new installed packages and updates. Integer in range [0 - 24] (0 - Never)
6 Printing Enables ('enable') or disables ('disable') print monitoring

Further Information

Please use '""' (two double-quotes) as input value in Finder to discard some parameter setting. To pass an empty string to WMDomains, please use ',' (comma) as input value.

Script Test CrashGuard

Checks whether the Collector CrashGuard count has reached the maximum value, which means that the CrashGuard protection is active. The script is designed for Windows 10 and 7.
